Cliff Jumping at Rick’s Cafe Negril
Rick’s cafe is one of the most popular attraction in Negril. It’s located on the Westend of Jamaica away from the 7 mile beach. It has crystal clear water and a great sunset view. It’s also known for cliff diving in the daytime and live reggae after sunset.
My fiance has never jumped off a cliff before decided to give it a try. He got me worried because the signs stating that all divers do so at their own risk. However, he was a good diver and he enjoy swimming in the blue clear water. I would say Rick’s cafe is definitely a place for great parties and kids love to watch the high divers jumping off the cliff.

One reason why I visited Negril is because I love their beach. I love the feel of the white sand tickling my toes and the wave of sounds flooding inside my head. As I stare out into the beautiful 7 mile beach, I think to myself my life is like the ocean filled with excitement and beauty.
My favorite part of the trip was the walk on the beach with my fiancé. We walked miles without realizing how far we have walked as the waves washed up on to the shore. For a short time neither one of us spoke. Finally, I spoke up: ” I think this is the most romantic walk we ever done”. He smiled back said we should do this more often then. We both laughed even harder because we don’t usually say stuff like that.
Then we walked back to Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville where we were sitting on the beach chairs and listening to some Bob Marley music and enjoying our afternoon.
Seven Mile beach is exactly how I imagined the beaches of Jamaica would be. It’s such a beautiful spot for lovers and families, who appreciate the soft white sand and crystal water.

Jamaica is known for its sandy beaches and beautiful resorts. It’s also famous for its well-prepared Jamaican dishes. So when I got to Jamaica one of my goals was try to eat at a variety of places and take a tour of country side. Raymore was recommended by our hotel concierge as a reliable tour guide and private driver. He went above and beyond what I wanted to do and see. He picked us up at 10am and the first place he took us to was Copper Pot, where they prepared goat soup for us to try. It was really good.
Since I wanted to get out of the resort and go into the mountains, he drove us from Montego Bay to the south and then back up north to Negril with bunch of stops along the way at beaches, shops, Rick’s cafe and different food spots. One of my favorites was trying out Jamaican ackee and fresh coconut at the Cool Jellyman stand. I’ve never had ackee so it was really fun to try it out.
You know Jamaicans love their patty so we stopped at Juici Patty with Raymore. They offer beef, cheese chicken and shrimp patty and I tried all of them. I had six of them because it was the best patties I ever had. If you want to have a great experience and some superb memories then contact Raymore. Without Raymore we may have never experienced the true Jamaica. Thanks again Raymore my friend!
You can reach him at (876) 866-9965.

Sampling Along the Jerk Trail, Jamaica
Jerk Meat is probably one of the best-known Jamaica cuisine. That’s why the Jamaica Jerk Trail is a must try culinary adventure. This delicious food is marinated for hours in peppers, scallion, thyme and cooked slowly on top of the wood. This allows the natural juice infused with the wood flavor creating this authentic Jamaican cuisine. So we had to try it when we were on our way to Negril. When we stopped by Border jerk the smell of the smoked chicken made us even more hungry. This is the first time we ever had jerk chicken and we both fell in love with the distinct flavors. So next time you visit Jamaica be sure to check out the stops below. We guarantee you won’t regret it.
