Portfolio Redesign: A Minimalist Look
It has been a while since I launched SW Graphic in July 2009. When I first designed the site I went for a wordpress style and made things look pretty. A few weeks ago, my site went down for almost a week due to a security attack on my ISP. So if a client asked to see my work and my site is down, client will most likely leave and hire someone else. This become one of the biggest reasons why I need a another site that showcase my portfolio.
I went with Behance Prosite platform for my simple portfolio, all I want to do is showcasing my works to my client. It’s a very minimalist look but I’ll let my work speaks for itself. Here are some of the key aspect why I like so much – Simplicity, Readablity and Usability. I’ll be adding more works soon and please feel free to let me know what you think of this new design. I hope you like it.

There’s so much things to plan and do, which makes me more busier. I haven’t been on my blog or Twitter a lot lately. I hope all my reader missed me. Anyways, I just want to show a sneak preview of a quick save the date postcard I just did. I hope you all like it.

Photos: Fun Printables From Disney
Yesterday was my 1 year anniversary working at Disney. Which makes it a perfect time to write a post about how much I have appreciated working with many talented people here. When you hear Disney, the first thing that comes to your mind is probably the theme park or the Pixar characters. But, that’s not where I work. I work for Disney Family, which is a division under Disney Interactive Media Group. They do a lot of fun printables for kids and great recipe or ideas for parents online. That’s why it’s Disney Family.
I took few pictures when I visited the LA main office. I can’t stop looking at these beautiful crafts made by the illustrators (Mario, Craig and Kelly). If you’re interested in making one of their fun printables, please check out DisneyFamily.com and Familyfun.com. I’m sure you’ll love these crafts, enjoy!

A Vintage Postcard Tour of Beantown, Boston 1905
There always seems to be a variety of postcards to pick through in most of the stationary or souvenir store when you travel. For just a dollar or two, I found myself collecting them. Especially collecting vintage postcard, which you can find through antique or museum stores. I got this Boston vintage postcards pocketbook set from a historic house museum I visit in Beacon Hill. Boston. Each card is a portrait of history in time. It describe the time period and even the latest fashion trends or architectures. It’s also lots of fun to go through them and discover the historical perspective as well.
So here are some of the Boston postcards from 1905-1920 that I scan. Most of them were hand colored, because this was before the cameras time. However, this makes each postcard an individual work of art. scroll through them and I bet you recognize most of the sites on these vintage postcards, Enjoy!

2 Beautiful Bolt Wallpaper Designs
Every now and then at Disney – DIMG I get to work on a personal project to give to my co-workers. My task was to create a wallpaper based on my favorite Disney character. This is a very fun project because as a kid I grew up watching all of the Disney classic animated films – from 101 Dalmatians, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Bambi, Lady And The Tramp, and so many others. You get the deal, the list can go on. All in all, I found myself really caring about the characters in the film and how their story was told.
I decide to use “Bolt”, one of the best animated feature films from Walt Disney, for my wallpaper. Bolt is one of my favorite animated characters of all time. It has the perfect balance of everything. It’s entertaining, heartbreaking and a touching story-line. Especially since I have a pug I can relate to Penny when she lost Bolt. Overall this is a really cute film with top notch animation. As I found myself designing this wallpaper with Bolt in it, I couldn’t help thinking about my pug “Rini” and how great a “friend” she is to me.
Below are the final wallpapers I shared with my co-workers at Disney. I hope you enjoy them as well.
