My Thanksgiving Dinner at Corner 28

My Thanksgiving Dinner at Corner 28

Did everyone woke up from the Thanksgiving Food coma yet? What did you thankful for on this special day? I asked myself the same question and It remind me how blessed I am and how many great things I have to be thankful in my life. My dad and my sister (Ally) was able to down from upstate to celebrate this special day with me, my mom and my youngest sister. My parent didn't make any turkey dinner, in fact we dine out at this really great Chinese restaurant called Corner 28, located in Flushing, New York. My dad worked as a chef in a Chinese restaurant upstate. I guess that made it a lot easier when it comes to ordering food for him. Before I get into all these delicious food from Corner 28. I would like to share the following thanks.

I'm Thankful for...

• Spend a great time with my family and having them in my life.
• Great friends whose there to guide me and support me (you know who you are).
• My health and my family's health – both Ally and my mom who are cancer survivors.
• Rini (our dog) is recovered from her bladder stone surgery and made me laugh.
• My fiance whose always there for me for the past 10 years.
• Having great co-workers at Disney and worked with talented people from Agency.com

I'm truly thankful for all I have and want to take this opportunity to thank all my readers out there too. All the wonderful travel bloggers, designers and photographers I met. It was a pleasure knowing you all. I hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving like I did. Here are the recap from that special night with my family.

Where’s the turkey? Goose? Swan? Oh.. I forgot you’re Taiwanese :P Btw, I never saw snails in Taiwan, although I’m sure they have some, since they have frogs, snakes and turtles. Is this a HK style restaurant?

We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, but I’m thankful to come across your lovely blog. It’s getting harder and harder to find interesting and nice bloggers, who follow back and interact with someone.

Have a lovely day, Sarah :)

Hey Erica, you like seafood too? The waiter brought the live crab and show us and my dad approved it and they go ahead and cook it. I feel like I just took away his life, but he does taste good tho. poor crab.

Ken - U know how chinese people do the seafood. They bring the live one up and show u that it's still alive and then they bring it to the kitchen and kill it. Yea he cooks alot hahah but sometime he wants perfection and we end up becoming his lab rat. hahah

Hey Beth, Where did you get your bean curd muffins in Boston? That actually sounds pretty yummy. Is it from a pastry shop? All girls in my family are 6 years apart. I'm 27 yr, 21, and 16. I'm the oldest. Are you the oldest sister too?

Bethany Says:

Even though I don’t celebrate thanksgiving (though looking at the delicious food you had I am starting to wish we did in Australia… or Sweden.) It seems like a nice holiday. Thanks for sharing you touching thoughts on what you are thankful for :)
