Glimpse of Time – A Beautiful Collection of Cinemagraph Gifs
Happy Friday everyone! So it's midnight and I'm sitting here wondering what will happen when Hurricane Irene hits New York. As far as I know evacuation are being done in certain area and subway and bus are shutting down tomorrow. So how can I go about staying home the whole weekend without bored out of my mind? How about broswing the web? – or as I like to say – finding eye candies online.
I was looking at some wedding inspiration and I stumble upon some awesome works by Jamie Beck and Kevin Burg. They created these intricate animated gifs that I absolutely adore and cannot get enough of it. So here we go, I'm devoting this post to Cinemagraphs – so they called it. Cinemagraph is a still photo with minor elements moving that capture a glimpse of time. It's a new technique that photographers are exploring now. I find it very fascinating and want to share these beautiful gifs with you for your enjoyment and inspiration. For more works please check out their website at http://cinemagraphs.com. Oh yea to all my New Yorker friends, stay safe over the weekend.

Love this effect! It’s funny how quickly wedding trends develop. I got married last summer and this wasn’t around. When I was looking for wedding inspiration I came across time lapse photo videos and thought they were so cool… and now they are popular. I wonder what is next?

This is GORGEOUS! I wonder how did they do it? Is it a video or a collection of many still shots? I’m such a noob! Do teach me when you’re learnt how to do these wonderful shots ok!

These are soooooo beautiful. The only one I’d seen before was the cab driving by, and I still think it’s my favourite. I love all of the New Yorky ones, though!
