Part 1: Discover A New Paradise – Secrets Resort at Jamaica
Oh Jamaica, Ya mon. What a beautiful Island. Allen and I have been looking forward to this tropical island for months. We were super excited when we landed in Montego Bay, or "Mo Bay" as some may call it. We left customs and went to the shuttle bus that we booked in advance.
We arrived at Secrets Wild Orchid very shortly. It's an adult only all-inclusive resort. We came with very high expectations based on their site and they exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted with bubbly champagne and fresh towels at the Preferred Club Desk. After we check in we were escorted to our rooms and boy oh boy, the room is magnificent with a breathtaking ocean front view. We just couldn't wait to watch the sunset from our balcony.
The resort is so beautiful and very well kept. I have been to Puerto Rico and Puna Cana in the past, but the beach at Secrets is the most beautiful I've seen. I'm not a swimmer nor can I float, so I never set myself into the ocean. However, the water is so clear there that I didn't mind going inside. So if you like snorkeling this is the perfect beach. With that being said, there are also plenty of chairs and hotel staff by the beach for us to relax and enjoy this island paradise.
The food and drinks were absolutely amazing at the restaurant and the bar. More reviews of the food will be on my next post. In summary, we had real relaxation, beautiful sunsets and an amazing beach. What more can we ask for from this beautiful resort?

Hey Andi, unfortunately I can't get marry there. I was there trying to talk to the wedding coordinator. They don't allow people under 18. My sister is 16 only. However it is a beautiful resort. Oh btw, I just decided I want to get marry in Riviera Maya, Mexico. I'm trying to get a date for next year May 2012. I am super excited. I need to ask you so much thing about packing for a destination wedding etc. lol : )

Hey! We just went to a travel agent in Raleigh, NC and talked to them about how we didn't want the cliche Sandals trip, and he told us about Secrets! No, we've never been to Jamaica before or any nice beach really outside of NC or FL. So we are very excited. Thanks again for posting the lovely pictures. I cannot WAIT to bring my Canon 50D to photograph Jamaica!!!! :) 5 months til we get married and go!

Fantastic pictures by the way!!!! Which room was facing the ocean on the perferred side in your picture? Were these on the 4th floor? We tried to find a room map that shows us your perfect view, and any info would greatly help us out
) Any particular receptionist we should ask for on the perferred side? What do you recommend about getting chairs/beds under a palapa?

Hey Lisa, Thanks, all the rooms gas ocean view. The 1408 is facing the wedding gezbo ocean side (2nd & 3rd photo). The 1403 is facing the mountain ocean view side (the photo where we're are eating breakfast in the balcony). We didn't have problem getting chairs on the preferred side beach at all. There's always seats when we go there 11am. We never had to get up early to save the seat. I went in mid April though. I was on the 4th floor and you can talk to any receptionist about it, or maybe ask for a sunset view side. :)
